변종규 경희대학교병원(병원장 김건식) 소화기내과 전임의가 최근 제주도 신라호텔에서 개최된 '제12차 한·일 헬리코박터 심포지엄'에서 우수 포스터상을 받았다.
변 전임의는 '헬리코박터균에 감염된 국내 환자의 interleukin 8-251 T/A의 다형성과 위암 발생과의 연관성이 있다'(The polymorphism of interleukin 8-251 T/A but not innate immunity related protein, influences the susceptibility of gastric cancer with Helicobacter pylori infection in Korean population)는 내용의 연구결과를 발표해 이날 수상의 영광을 안았다.
